چکیده

This study was undertaken to standardize an efficient protocol for in vitro propagation of ornamental bamboo Bambusa tuldoides Munro using nodal segments as explants. For direct shoot induction, liquid MS medium containing 2.0 mg/l BAP and 1.0 TDZ gave a maximum response (84%) with number shoots (4.80 ± 0.49) per explant. These were proliferated efficiently on agitated 3.0 1.5 mg/1 TDZ, which resulted the formation 15.40 1.21 culture 6.96 0.65 cm length. Shoots gradually increased length during first four subculture cycles same media combination but declined 5th sub-culture cycle. After 4th cycle, 20.40 1.44 7.92 0.78 cm. The addition 10% coconut water above mentioned satisfactory growth development 24.20 1.16 culture. Maximum rooting highest roots (7.20 0.37) obtained from half-strength fortified IBA. Well rooted plantlets successfully acclimatized soil where survival rate 92%. Plant Tissue Cult. & Biotech. 32(2): 157-166, 2022 (December)

Optimizing in vitro propagation of Rosa persica

Rosa persica with a distinctive red eye is a good candidate for addition to the breeding pool of roses. In order to optimize micropropagation of R. persica, three culture media (MS, QL and VS) were compared. The maximum growth rate was observed in the VS medium. Addition of FeEDTA (Fe: 65.4 mg/l), calcium gluconate (Cg: 2.7 g/l) and Gamborg vitamins (B5) instead of VS vitamins, alone or in comb...
